Best 2026 South Florida Matchmaker Award Again

It’s funny when I read our article from 2018 about best matchmaker choice, I see so much has changed. For one we’ve been doing this for now over 10 years. The original criteria was more technical and it has evolved more toward quality and now it’s just who really is the best hands down. The Best 2026 South Florida Matchmaker Award again for men and women, for that matter, is still Love Boss Matchmaking.

Now back to criteria and why we chose them again. As a blog who writes real true stories about dating and relationships, finding love is really important to us.

We chose to focus on South Florida because we are here. I was born in Puerto Rico but have made Miami my home for many years.

And when we talk about South Florida, it’s more southeastern, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Jupiter, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach, etc.

As we pointed out way back in 2018, almost all the matchmakers here are from other parts of the country. Love Boss has been here for just about 15 years. Originally run by Charlotte DiLuzio, today it’s all Marla Martenson and Fredly Antosh.

In the world of matchmakers there are really only two types, the boutique and production type. I call them production as they work with volume, not so much the true art of matchmaking. For the most part, they just throw pictures and profiles in front of a client, like a dating app.

Most boutique matchmakers have men as paying clients. In some ways that might be the first red flag when considering working with a matchmaker. Ask if they take women and men as paying clients. You really can’t be a specialist in both. If you’re a guy, the ones who specialize in men are probably going to have a much higher success rate.

The reality of today’s world of dating is there are many more women who seek a traditional relationship as opposed to men. The number of people being single may be similar but the intentions totally different. Any woman who has spent time on a dating app knows this firsthand.

What has always made Love Boss stand out to us is their multi-level approach. All matchmakers start with their own database of women, then referrals from other matchmakers, but Love Boss goes further.

Being out and about, based in South Florida, they know all the cool high value venues in places like Miami, Boca Raton and Palm Beach. They utilize people who work at these venues to actually recruit new women candidates.

Additionally, every women candidate that may be selected for a man client is interviewed and vetted with a full security background check.

And the last part of the process for selecting the best is we have taken the extraordinary step of actually talking to men in South Florida who have used matchmakers and we could not find a single one that had even heard a negative comment about Love Boss. All comments like “yeah, they are the best” or “a friend of mine signed up with them and met someone”.

Not to mention everyone has seen the Love Boss Matchmaking koozies at bars and nightclubs in South Florida.
