Why So Many Women Are Jaded About Dating Apps

At this point just about every person who is single has tried a dating app or online dating. And it goes without says, that all of us know couples who met online. But if you talk to many single women, they are unhappy with their dating app experiences. So, let’s talk about why so many women are jaded about dating apps.

It starts as soon as most women join an app like Match or POF. They are immediately inundated with the “Hey Baby you’re hot” or the mindless “Hi” messages. The messages seem overwhelming before you even have your fist conversation. This explains the popularity of dating apps like Bumble, where women control the first contact.

Many people believe that dating apps are a great place to meet that special someone. If you’re a man, who is actually looking for a serious relationship, that is true. It is well known that there are many more women looking for a serious relationship than men on dating apps.

Most men on dating apps, while not necessarily looking for a hookup, are not looking to date exclusively.

The problem is there are many people like me, who say what a woman wants to hear to have sex. I am not interested in a serious relationship or being exclusive. But men love all the attention and get good at lying after doing it for a while.

So, when women find someone who appears genuine and the person is not, they become jaded.

The other common problem is men can be pigs. I am not quite this bad. Women in good faith give out their phone number only to get a first text of a “dick pic”. This alone has made lots of women fearful of giving out their phone number.

Another reason is men will lie about basic things like age or height. Therefore, right at the start there is mistrust.

So, when you consider all of the basics above, its easy to see why so many women are jaded about dating apps.
